Dec 6, 2024 – The University of Waterloo has been designated Research University of the Year in the comprehensive category by Research Infosource Inc. for the 17th consecutive year. Waterloo’s consistent ranking reflects the University’s continued leadership in research innovation, academic excellence and its significant impact on Canada’s economy.

Waterloo also ranked first for research income and corporate research income among Canada’s Top 50 Research Universities in the comprehensive category, and second for not-for-profit research income in the same category.
